Dark souls
ALRIGHT! I AM BACK! Well for a little bit at least. OK people if you still follow this blog (after my long ass leave of absence) I am pleased to say i am back from my little...vacation and i can give you more reviews. And today I will be reviewing Dark Souls.
This was a hard one to do. All the games I ever seem to play are almost always great. So I am gonna try and be mean...Ok that won't work although i will admit I was enraged so many times with this game that I remembered what it was like to play hard games when I was 3...yes 3. I was playing racing games at 2 so that was just me being stupid. But the intensity of the game was so crazy. I loved it.
Now this game is not for the feint of heart or the weak of mind. Your mind must be ready and your controller must be made of steel to endure the tosses you will do when playing. The enemies are tough, the damage tables are bullshit, and your strength is that of a fluffy kitten. So learn to dodge, Block, backstab, and make as many NPC friends along the way. oh and don't forget jolly Cooperation.
The goal of the game, Defeat the evil Lord gwyn and bring light (or darkness if you choose so) to the land. I am proud to say I have gotten to the end of my second playthrough now But I am still not strong enough to defeat Gwyn on my own. I require help but that will be for another day as i am way behind on games to review and still have a computer to build so I can spread my gaming experience to give you reviews on more games.
OK with the intro out of the way let us see what else... Ah yes the leveling system and so on.
It was nice, to the point, A little bit of time was needed before it all clicked in and I started playing smart.
The combat system: Reminded me of monster hunter...sweetness. You have stamina and health. No magic as magic is different. It is on a limited view basis but recharges whenever you rest at a bonfire. It is not too amazing but if you have your character leveled up right it can be a major game changer. But if you aren't a magic man Pyromancy might be your game. Not magic, Not physical, but something more...primal. I went with pyromancy seeing as it was a lot more fun to use. Be careful if you are a slow character as those bigger bosses will murder you.
story: It was a little tough to get what was going on at first but then it clicks and boom, You are now on a quest to save (or destroy) the land.
Voices: Amazing. I for one loved the voice acting in the game. They were all clear and showed some good emotion. I felt really connected to some of teh characters and was pleased to say even with a terrible fate met with severeal good friends you meet early on in the game I can say well done. Sad, But well done.
graphics: Ah yes, Where are games without graphics these days...hahaha, but seriously the visuals were stunning, the lighting was magnificent and the framerate...well it was decent nearly all the time. what can you expect with a console game. But I loved every bit of it. It was all stunning. My only complaint...why don't the NPCs have moving mouths? I mean you put so much into the darn game you forget to do that? but other than that I have no complaints there.
multiplayer: Ok this is a bit hard to do. The way it works it tough and to spare you a long read and a long explanation i will put it like this. you cannot play with your buddies like you would any other game. It works in this weird way that you can only play online if you are not in a party and you meet people by chance practically. Well that is if you are a bad man or have been invaded. But I didn't like it too much. when you play with other people the fun is nearly multiplied and I feel like I am playing monster Hunter HD EXTREME! So I can say It was amazing whenever I fought a boss with 3 other people. But I have heard rumors of a Dark souls 2 coming out. (rumors don't take me seriously) so hopefully they will make changes to it and let you play online with friends in a party. Please do this....please. But I say the online play was lacking just a teeny bit, But then again, if it was any other way Would It be as challenging and hard to play? So there goes a key element in the game. So I am torn. I will merely wait to see what happens in the future.
replay value: depends. Do you want to keep playing or are you going to get bored easy playing the same thing. I am a bit of both so I give it fairly high. I still love the game. but with so much content and items you can get and the fact there are 2 endings and such I would say it's pretty darn good. The game is long, Challenging, and can be played again with the same character and have your stats and equipment saved. But this time the difficulty is amped up even more. Even basic enemies will cut you down in a heartbeat if not careful. So look out for that.
Overall: great game. If you like a challenging fantasy game that will test your mettle as a gamer then this is for you. It has PVP, PVP Co-op, tough oversized enemies, and insane visuals that will immerse you into the world. I loved the game and i say if you think you have the balls as a gamer pick it up.
I will leave a rating of 8 out of 10.

Are you ready for a load of bullshit?!
Senator Lamar Smith, lead sponsor of the currently dead SOPA bill you’ve heard so much about, has another bill in the works that uses Child Pornography as a screen to push through an amendment that’ll have your internet service provider tracking all of your financial dealings online. Each time you use a credit card, each time you read your bank statement, all of your IP information and your search history will be required by your ISP to be stored for 18 months at all times. This bill is H.R. 1981 and will have more dire consequences than SOPA or PIPA ever had the potential to have.
What it does is to amend several rules that have to do with Child Pornography and preventing it, the bill itself called the “Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011.” What it also does is to change the U.S. code Chapter 18 section 2703 Required Disclosure of Customer Communications or Records to include a requirement that your internet service provider do the following:
A commercial provider of an electronic communication service shall retain for a period of at least one year a log of the temporarily assigned network addresses the provider assigns to a subscriber to or customer of such service that enables the identification of the corresponding customer or subscriber information under subsection (c)(2) of this section.
While it was legal for the government to issue a subpoena for the viewing of the information they speak about here before, it was not part of the law that internet service providers capture or retain that information at any point. In effect, while before the authorities would need to first find a reason for you to need to be watched to get the ISP to start collecting information from you, that information will already exist on file, effectively meaning you’re being watched and recorded even if you’ve done nothing wrong.
Don’t worry though, there’s an additional set of lines that should placate you because it’s so very kind of them to think of:
(1) to encourage electronic communication service providers to give prompt notice to their customers in the event of a breach of the data retained pursuant to section 2703(h) of title 18 of the United States Code, in order that those effected can take the necessary steps to protect themselves from potential misuse of private information; and
(2) that records retained pursuant to section 2703(h) of title 18, United States Code, should be stored securely to protect customer privacy and prevent against breaches of the records.
So don’t worry, your information will be “stored securely” so noone else can access it! But if they do access it, your ISP will give you “prompt notice” so you can change all your credit card numbers, hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband. This bill has currently cleared its committee, this meaning that the next step is a full vote. This bill needs to be stopped, and if I might go one better, Lamar Smith needs to be stopped, for the good of the internet and YOUR privacy.

Rocksmith Round 2
Hello, I am back with round 2 of rocksmith. Now My setup wasn't proper for it beforehand And I had to sacrifice convenience to get no latency. No problem. I set up my speakers and tv properly and with no latency, This is fun. I had a blast learning a few songs and i downloaded the Megadeth pack. They still have a lack of my genre i would prefer to play but the gameplay is great. But it is made for people who are learning guitar more than for people that are already veterans of the steel strings. So, Now that everything is set let me tell you a bit more.
when you start you only get a simple amp and no effects. Well, as you level up in the game you get more guitars, amps, and effect pedals to greatly alter your sound. Now when they did all that they were spot on. I could recognize the style of amp and guitar just by the sound. It was great. They put a lot of work into that and I salute them for getting that right.
The difficulty leveling was a bit meh. I like the way they did it though. It is really made for people starting out and trying to learn guitar, But my problem with this is that when I play I play by ear half the time, So here I am playing 15 notes when it only has 7 due to it putting me on an easier difficulty. To be fair though, as you progress in the song, it increases the difficulty depending on how well you play. So the better you play the harder it makes it, But if you can't handle the fire it puts you down a notch. So that was fun but i wish it had that AND a difficulty selector. That would have been a bit better.
The guitars: Ok I know This should be the last thing I complain about seeing as I have my own darn guitars, But does every guitar in the game have to be a Gibson? Can I have an Ibanez? Maybe a B.C. Rich? Or maybe even a DEAN. I mean come on man. Well, Let's hope that some new DLC will involve some nice new guitars to add.
well, other than this I have no complaints. The game is solid, it sounds good, it's accurate, The tuning system and the instructor they have get a bit annoying. But hey you need to learn somehow, And to be honest I did learn a thing or two while paying the game so that was pretty sweet. Now If you will excuse me I am off to my next adventure. Expect a review of ether skyrim (like you need me to tell you how awesome it is) or maybe even supermario land 3d.
This game deserves if anything a 8 out of 10
Until then SirSlaughter out!

Coming back soon
Ok guys, I've been off the grid for a bit now. Just to let you know I am alive. I've just been busy...playing games. Hehehe, But anyway expect something soon. For one thing I am doing a re-review of rocksmith. I got my setup all good to go and now It plays with no latency. So that is a happy thing. Expect a new Revised review on that soon enough. But yeah I've kinda been stuck playing Minecraft (amazing by the way, you should get it) and Skyrim. You will see reviews on a few more games come the next few weeks. For now I go back to my caves and I traverse the nether, Taming it for mankind to walk it's depths without fear of death by abominations. ONWARDS TO GLORY!
